East county sheriff’s deputies are looking for a heavy-set, Caucasian man who held up a Domino’s Pizza outlet in Thousand Oaks at gunpoint and clubbed an employee with a telephone receiver before cleaning out the cash register.

Investigators said the suspect, who weighs about 230 pounds and is about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, pointed a handgun at employee Mark Robertson, 19, as he was returning from a delivery minutes before midnight Saturday.

Robertson and the suspect both entered the store at 290 Moorpark Road, and the suspect ordered another employee, Farrokh Iranshahr, 49, to open the safe.

When Iranshahr refused to open the safe, the suspect clubbed him with a telephone receiver and grabbed the cash from the register, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Iranshahr was treated at the scene for a cut ear.

Investigators said the suspect is between 19 and 23 years old, with brown hair and a goatee.
