Business Damaged in Morning Fire
CHATSWORTH —
Fifty firefighters worked for 30 minutes to extinguish a fire early Saturday, containing it to one portion of a large building.
The 2:15 a.m. fire, at S & W Wood Products in the 21000 block of Plummer Street, was estimated to have caused about $114,000 damage to the structure and contents, according to Bob Collis ofthe Los Angeles Fire Department.
There were no injuries.
Collis said the cause of the fire, which did not spread to the other businesses in the one-level structure, is under investigation.
