PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Seahawks’ Jackson Out
Seattle lost its second cornerback for the season because of a serious knee injury. Kirby Jackson, who was supposed to be a backup, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in a non-contact drill at the Kirkland, Wash., training camp last week.
Jackson, 29, was signed as an unrestricted free agent on June 9 after seven years in the NFL. He was on the Buffalo Bills’ injured reserve list last season after a preseason right-knee injury
Another acquisition from Buffalo, Nate Odomes, hurt his knee in a pickup basketball game and is also lost for the season.
