Sony Hires Disney Imagineering Executive: Stanley Steinberg was named president of the new Sony Development unit to oversee the building of retail “entertainment centers” to promote and sell Sony products. Steinberg was executive vice president of Imagineering, heading development of Disney’s Euro Disney theme park near Paris as well as developing attractions at Disneyland, Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland.
