NEWBURY PARK : Actress Pleads Not Guilty to Molestation
A 45-year-old porn actress from Newbury Park charged with seducing a 14-year-old boy pleaded not guilty Friday in Ventura County Municipal Court.
A preliminary hearing for Laurie Arden, charged with six felony counts of child molestation, was set for Aug. 19.
Arden faces two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, two counts of sexual conduct using a foreign object, one count of showing explicit photos to a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor.
She was arrested at the E-Z 8 Motel in Newbury Park on July 27 after the alleged victim told police he had sex with her twice in April and May after she hired him to help her move out of a rented room on White Oak Lane. She allegedly showed the boy nude images of herself on a computer screen and in a magazine, then suggested they have sex.
Arden is unemployed, but apparently posed for sexually explicit films and magazines as recently as several months ago, police said.
