A. Shawn Holder has been named president and chief executive of Hamburger Hamlet Restaurants Inc. Holder will succeed Jack A. Lavine, who had held those positions on an interim basis. Lavine has been named to the post of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Both appointments will become effective Aug. 15. Holder, 46, most recently served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Solana Beach-based Chart House Enterprises and, simultaneously, as president of the company’s Paradise Bakery unit. Lavine, 53, was named interim president and chief executive of the Sherman Oaks-based Hamburger Hamlets in April. He is a co-founder and the former chief financial officer of Chili’s Inc.
