Hu Weidong led China with 31 points, including 9-for-14 shooting from three-point range.

Greece, supported by partisan fans waving blue-and-white flags that outnumbered the red-and-white maple leaf flags by at least a 10-1 margin in the crowd of 11,083, pulled away late in the second half for a 72-65 lead with 1:34 left on a layup by Panagiotis Fassouls.

Canada’s Kory Hallas hit a three-pointer nine seconds later and, after a steal by Joey Vickery, sank a second one with 52 seconds to play, moving Canada within 72-71. But Greece held on for the victory.
