SUITE SUCCESS? For a mere $91,000, you could be watching the Rams play their first home exhibition game tonight, against New England, from a luxury suite. The number of empty suites among the 108 leased at Anaheim Stadium is at a new high for this football season. . . . Average annual prices, for a variety of stadium events, range from $20,000 (single box, corner view) to $91,000 (double box, 50-yard line). Rams spokesman Pete Donovan says they make a fun day: “Suites are leased to entertain customers. It’s not so critical that the home team is good.”

FUN AT HOME: We all know Engelbert Humperdinck can sing. But can he sing karaoke? You’ll get a chance to find out if you’re at the Home & Garden Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, which starts today and runs through next weekend (N2). . . . Humperdinck appears next Saturday in a sing-along with convention-goers accompanied by a karaoke music machine. . . . Also new at the annual show: Indestructor, a $10,000 earthquake shelter, designed by Brad Bona of Anaheim. It looks like a gazebo but can store up to 400 gallons of water and food.

ABSENT: When Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan is feted at a Beverly Hills reception Monday, the invited Orange County contingent will be absent. Local Armenians are upset with Ter-Petrosyan for his criticism of opposition groups, as well as emigre organizations. . . . “We are doing a lot for Armenia,” local Armenians say in a statement, but favor “democratic institutions that allow pluralism.”
