Boone's Mill and jockey Pat Day drew off through the stretch for a 5 3/4-length victory in the $200,000 Sapling Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday.
Enlighten was second, two lengths in front of Western Echo.
The victory marked the fourth time in the last six years trainer Wayne Lukas has saddled the winner of the Sapling.
A 7-10 favorite in the six-furlong event, Boone's Mill was timed in 1:10 2/5 over a fast track and returned $3.40, $2.40 and $2.10.
Enlighten paid $3.60 and $2.40, and Western Echo returned $2.40.
Lukas said Boone's Mill will run in Saratoga's Hopeful Stakes next.
