Riverside Freeway Crash Witnesses Sought
The California Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses to an Aug. 21 accident on the Riverside Freeway that killed a Los Angeles County youth.
The accident occurred at about 12:40 a.m. on the eastbound Riverside Freeway near the Gypsum Canyon Road off-ramp. It involved a Honda Civic and Ford Taurus.
Four passengers in the cars were injured in the crash. A 15-year-old boy from Lawndale died.
Angel Johnson, spokeswoman for the CHP, said the drivers said they don’t remember how the accident occurred.
“We need independent confirmation of what happened,” Johnson said.
