2 Men Rape and Rob Woman After Binding Her, Boyfriend
An 18-year-old woman was raped by two men who bound her and her boyfriend in her apartment and robbed them, authorities said.
The assault took place in the 6700 block of Independence Avenue about 11 p.m. Tuesday after the two men saw the woman outside her ground-floor apartment, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Terry Pratt.
The attackers forced the woman back inside the apartment and separated her from her unidentified 20-year-old boyfriend, tying them up in separate rooms, Pratt said.
Both men sexually assaulted the woman, who feared for her life, Pratt said. The men also took money and other property from the home, he said.
After the attackers left, the couple were able to free themselves and contact police, he added.
The woman was taken to an undisclosed hospital where she received treatment, Pratt said.
