VENTURA : 4 Arrested in Attack on Man Outside Nightclub

A Ventura man was in fair condition at Ventura County Medical Center after being stabbed and beaten by at least five people outside a Ventura club just after midnight Saturday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Jason Rousseau, 21, was attacked outside the Metro Bay Club on East Main Street in Ventura, where he had gone to see the hard-core punk band Ill Repute, a Ventura Police Department spokesman said.

Police arrested four people in the incident and are searching for at least one more, the spokesman said. Rousseau was confronted at the club and then chased outside by several people attending the show. He was cornered, beaten with clubs and stabbed several times, according to police.

Police arrested Scott Porcho, 26, his wife, April Porcho, 25, and Michael Bridgeford, 18, all of Oxnard, and Jeffrey Newton, 22, of Ventura. The three men were booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail for Bridgeford and Newton was set at $10,000 each, and bail for Scott Porcho was set at $50,000. April Porcho was cited on the same charge and released.
