Thousand Oaks 28, Franklin 21--Host Thousand Oaks used an explosive running game to upset Franklin (2-1) in an intersectional game at Thousand Oaks.

Brandon Jackson rushed for 167 yards in 20 carries, including touchdown runs of five and 15 yards. Mike Thomas added 131 yards in 19 carries and scored on a two-yard run.

The Lancers (1-2) took a 28-14 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Panthers stormed back with a touchdown on their ensuing possession.

Franklin had a chance to tie with 30 seconds remaining on a fourth-and-goal play at the Thousand Oaks 13-yard line, but quarterback Jeff Deno’s pass fell incomplete in the end zone.
