Berg was 12 of 18 for 253 yards and McIntosh caught six of passes for 183 yards.

A fumble recovery by Juan Garcia set up La Habra’s first score. On a swing pass, Berg found receiver Keven Ness, who ran 37 yards for a touchdown.

An interception by La Serna’s Daniel Bruen with 29 seconds left in the first half proved costly for the Highlanders. The Lancers, whose offense had accumulated only 97 total yards, scored when Matt Friscoe took a pitch from Mike Hale and connected with George on a 55-yard scoring pass.

After a combined five penalties and four turnovers by both teams to open the third quarter, the Highlanders finally opened up the game when Berg found McIntosh with a 41-yard touchdown pass. La Habra later increased its lead to 24-7 after a 24-yard field goal by Chris Diaz.

Aaron Kosarefss recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff to give the Highlanders the ball at La Serna’s 18-yard line. Berg found McIntosh in the end zone on the next play to extend La Habra’s lead to 31-7.
