Latino Group Taking Nominations for Leadership Awards
El Concilio del Condado de Ventura is accepting nominations for its 6th Annual Latino Leadership Awards. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 19.
Awards are given to those who have made outstanding contributions to Ventura County’s Latino community in business, arts, education, community service and youth.
Last year, Oxnard School District trustee Mary Barreto and Rodney Fernandez, an advocate for affordable housing, were among the recipients.
Awards will be presented at a banquet Jan. 27.
