POMONA : Truck With Radioactive Load Crashes; I-10 Shut
A truck carrying radioactive materials overturned Monday on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway in Pomona, forcing the closure of the freeway for about two hours and snarling traffic.
No one was hurt in the 7:56 a.m. accident near White Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer Woody Tweed. But the freeway was closed between Dudley Street and Garey Avenue until about 10 a.m., Tweed said.
After a county hazardous materials team took charge, all of the lanes were opened by the afternoon.
