DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES : Streets to Be Closed for Mexican Celebration

The 184th anniversary of Mexican Independence Day will be marked with a variety of celebrations this weekend, including various festivities at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Park.

Today, city workers will begin closing off Los Angeles Street between Arcadia and Alameda streets at 5 a.m., Main Street between Arcadia Street and Cesar Chavez Boulevard at 6 p.m. and New High Street at its intersection with Spring Street at 8 p.m. These streets will reopened at 6 a.m. Monday. MTA buses will be rerouted.
