Ryan Johansen directed second-half touchdown drives of 77 and 74 yards to lead Pacifica past Santiago, 15-3, in a Garden Grove League game at Garden Grove High.

Santiago’s Jose Palacios booted a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter to give the Cavaliers (2-4, 1-1) the lead at halftime, but the Mariners wasted little time in pulling ahead in the second half.

Starting from his 23, Johansen completed five of seven passes for 59 yards--including a five-yard touchdown pass to Mike Parsons--to give Pacifica (2-4, 1-2) the lead for good. Johansen connected on three of four passes for 67 yards on the Mariners’ next possession, which culminated in a five-yard touchdown run by Rudy Gonzales with just more than 9 minutes remaining in the game.
