COLLEGE ROUNDUP : New Mexico Beats Titans in Soccer
Cal State Fullerton’s Ricky Rodriguez tied the score with one minute left in regulation, but New Mexico scored three goals in overtime to win, 4-2, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s soccer game Sunday at Fullerton.
Fullerton dropped to 8-5-1, 3-2. New Mexico is 9-5, 2-2.
In another federation game:
UC Santa Barbara 5, UC Irvine 3--UC Santa Barbara scored three consecutive goals in a four-minute span in the second half to break a 2-2 tie. P.J. Polowski scored two goals for the Anteaters (10-4, 3-2).
In nonconference women’s soccer:
UC Irvine 3, USC 0--Tracie Manz scored two goals and Shawna Berke one as the Anteaters (7-7-1) stopped a three-game losing streak.
