OXNARD : Police Investigating Robbery of Bank
Oxnard police are investigating the robbery of a south Oxnard branch of Bank of America.
Police said a man entered the bank in the 2400 block of Saviers Road at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday and gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who fled with it, police said.
A bank employee who would not give her name said Thursday that the robber said he had a gun, but did not display a weapon. The employee also said the robber’s picture was captured on a bank videotape.
Police checked the area after the robbery but were unable to find the suspect, who they said was a Latino in his 20s with short hair, dark pants and a white shirt.
