UCLA linebacker Donnie Edwards leads the Bruins in almost every defensive category. He has 90 tackles, 15 more than any other UCLA defender.

His 11 1/2 sacks are one fewer than 1993 All-American Jamir Miller and 1 1/2 off Carnell Lake’s school record 13.

Edwards also has 20 tackles for losses, second in school history to the 22 of Marvcus Patton, and leads the team in interceptions with three.

After missing six field goals in seven tries in four games, Bjorn Merten has made four of his last five tries. . . . Sharmon Shaw’s 912 rushing yards are the most by a Bruin running back since Kevin Williams rushed for 1,141 in 1991.
