SYLMAR : Metrolink Official to Speak at Meeting
Public transportation changes in the Sylmar area will be the subject of next week’s meeting of the Sylmar Community Coordinating Council.
Guest speaker at the Nov. 16 meeting will be Mark R. Dierking, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority manager of government and public affairs for the San Fernando Valley/North County Area Team.
The meeting will be at noon at Mission College, Room 1, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar. Dierking will discuss changes at the new Sylmar/San Fernando Metrolink Station, including the future child-care facility and changes to the bus routes.
The council, a non-governmental citizens group, sponsors the free, monthly meetings that serve as forums to discuss the future improvement of Sylmar. The public is invited to attend.
