Man Dies After Being Hit by Bus
NORTH HOLLYWOOD —
A man who appeared to be a transient rolled off a bus bench Tuesday and was hit and killed by an MTA bus, authorities said.
The man, believed to be in his late 30s, was asleep at a bus stop in the 7900 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Strathern Street at about 2 p.m. when “he fell off the bench on his own and a bus ran over him,” said Lt. Thomas Kirk of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police could not identify the man but said an investigation will continue. The driver of the bus was not cited.
