Jeff Wilson of Moorpark College posted his sixth victory in seven races this season, but Glendale placed five runners among the top seven finishers to dominate the team competition of the Western State Conference cross-country final Tuesday.

Wilson, a former standout at Newbury Park High, timed a course record of 19 minutes 50 seconds over the four-mile distance at Kenneth Hahn Park in West Los Angeles.

Wilson, who set the record of 20:05 in the season-opening Santa Monica Invitational, was never seriously challenged. He had a nine-second lead after the first mile (4:36) and more than doubled that at the finish.
