Jason Goudy rushed for 194 yards and a touchdown as Ontario Christian beat Whittier Christian, 30-8, in an Olympic League game Friday at Ontario Christian High.

With the victory, Ontario Christian (8-2, 3-2 in league) clinches a playoff spot. Whittier Christian (5-5, 1-4) ) lost five of its final six games.

Ontario Christian kept the ball on the ground for 36 of 37 plays from scrimmage. The only pass the Knights’ Ben Goedhart attempted went for a touchdown.

He and wide receiver Paul Voortman combined on a 73-yard touchdown pass to cap the scoring with 7 minutes 20 seconds left in the third quarter.

Brett Kennon scored on runs of 16 and 15 yards in the first quarter for Ontario Christian. He finished with 102 yards in 13 carries.

Whittier Christian cut into the lead when Jason McCleary scored on a three-yard run with 8:48 left in the first half. McCleary then ran in the two-point conversion, cutting the lead to 14-8.

But Ontario Christian came back to up the lead to 17-8 when Goedhart kicked a 24-yard field goal with 2:29 left in the first half.

Ontario Christian quickly added to the lead in the second half. Goudy ran 80 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.

Ontario Christian finished with 417 yards in total offense including 344 on the ground. Whittier Christian had 157 in total offense, all rushing.
