Anaheim Angler Hauls in 29-Pound Sturgeon
It’s no secret that trout can’t resist Power Bait, but this is ridiculous.
Armando Burqueno of Anaheim put a glob of the rainbow-colored goop on his hook and hauled in a prehistoric-looking sturgeon.
Sturgeon are rarely caught at Irvine Lake, and Burqueno must have thought he hooked into a monster trout. The fish pulled him around for 1 hour 45 minutes before coming to the surface. It was netted and brought to the scale alive, weighed in at 29 pounds, then released.
