Driver Killed After Car Hits Dump Truck
A 20-year-old man was killed Wednesday when his car went through a red light, collided with a dump truck and hit a traffic signal, authorities said.
The man was driving north on White Oak Avenue when he ran the traffic signal at Saticoy Street and crashed into a city trash truck making a left turn on White Oak Avenue and then into the signal, said Officer Don Cox of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Efren Garcia, the driver of the dump truck, was not injured, police said.
The dead man was not identified pending notification of his relatives, Cox said.
