It’s Back to Basics for 007

Here’s good news about the script of “Goldeneye,” Pierce Brosnan’s coming debut as James Bond. It will not be politically correct!

This means--among other things--plenty of surgically enhanced lovelies who want to kill 007 or bed him. Or both. (I see “The Girls of Goldeneye” in a future edition of Playboy!)

The film’s two bad guys are Sean Bean (you might remember his well-muscled anatomy from “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”) and Robbie Coltrane (A&E;’s “Cracker”). Robbie plays the head of the Russian Mafia.

Filming on “Goldeneye” begins in January.

Sophia Loren agreed to do only one magazine interview promoting her appearance in Robert Altman’s “Ready to Wear” (“Pret-a-Porter”). And that magazine is the delicious Detour.

You can’t miss Sophia on the cover, photographed by Greg Gorman. Her cheekbones, lips and incredible cleavage are apparently indestructible!

Altman certainly thought so. He persuaded Sophia to re-create her famous striptease from “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” for his movie.

When writer Jim Turner asks Sophia how it feels to be 60, Loren replies cheerfully, “I am not 60. I am three times 20!” The enduring star adds that “inside, I am still 12 years old.”
