Police Thursday were looking for a man they said is a suspect in the shooting death of a Woodland Hills man who had put him up in his home for several months.

Jack Goga, who had been the victim’s house guest for two or three months, is described as about 50, with brown hair and blue eyes, 5-foot-7 and about 170 pounds.

The victim, whose name was not released, was found about 2 p.m. Wednesday in his house on De Valle Avenue by a friend who was concerned at his disappearance. The man told police he became concerned after not hearing from his friend, Detective Malena Heissel said.

He found the victim’s body on the floor inside the home with several bullets in the torso, Heissel said.

Police found the victim’s gun collection, along with devices they believed to be fake explosives at the house, Heissel said.

Gone from the house was Goga, along with the victim’s yellow 1972 Volvo station wagon, license plate number 905FZH.

“We don’t know what the motive is, and no one’s in custody,” Heissel said. “We’d of course like to speak to Mr. Goga and find out what happened.”
