DALLAS — Roy Tarpley was suspended for one game without pay by the Dallas Mavericks for cursing at Coach Dick Motta after being pulled from a game in the second quarter against the Lakers on Tuesday night.
Tarpley must sit out tonight’s home game against the Boston Celtics but can return to practice Friday. Keith Grant, the Mavericks’ director of player personnel, said Tarpley is expected to travel with the team to Los Angeles for its game against the Clippers on Saturday night.
