COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS : Youngstown State’s Dominance Continues
Defending champion Youngstown State, playing in its fourth consecutive NCAA I-AA championship game, got two scoring runs and a touchdown pass from quarterback Mark Brungard to defeat Boise State, 28-14, Saturday in Huntington, W.Va.
Youngstown State (14-0-1) has won three of the last four championship games, losing only to Marshall in 1992. Boise State finished 13-2.

Westminster (Pa.) 27, Pacific Lutheran 7--Andy Blatt rushed for 128 yards, scored once and connected with Tim McNeil on a 60-yard touchdown pass play after taking a pitchout as the Titans (12-2) won their sixth NAIA Division II title with a victory over the defending champion Lutes (11-2).
