SIMI VALLEY : Man Suspected in Child Molestations
A Simi Valley man suspected of molesting three children in fast-food restaurants is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing today in Van Nuys, authorities said.
Michael John Fellows, 46, was arrested in Los Angeles Dec. 12 following a two-month investigation of an incident at a McDonald’s in Simi Valley and two incidents at a McDonald’s and a Carl’s Jr. in the San Fernando Valley.
Fellows is being held in Los Angeles County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
According to police, the incident in Simi Valley was reported Oct. 18. An 8-year-old girl was standing at the sink in the women’s restroom when a man came in, knelt by the girl and licked her leg, authorities said. The man then asked the girl for a kiss, but she refused and left, officials said.
Fellows was later identified as a suspect in that incident, police said. Simi police shared information they obtained in the case with the Los Angeles Police Department, which led to Fellows’ arrest by the LAPD, authorities said.
Fellows is also accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl in the women’s restroom of a Carl’s Jr. restaurant in the Valley, officials said.
He is also under investigation for a molestation involving a 4-year-old girl in Northridge.
