Countywide : Holiday Closings
Sunday is Christmas, and the following will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday:
* All city, county, state and federal offices. City offices in Fullerton, Garden Grove, Orange and Westminster will be closed every day through Jan. 2.
* County, state and federal courthouses.
* City and county libraries.
* Banks and savings and loans.
* Schools: Classrooms and school offices, including those at colleges and universities, will be closed through Jan. 2.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery Monday. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes on that day will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: In most cities and unincorporated county areas, there will be no trash pickup Monday; it will take place one day late the rest of the week. Trash will be picked up on a regular schedule in Buena Park, Costa Mesa, La Habra, La Palma and Stanton. Residents in Anaheim, Brea, Garden Grove, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda with trash pick-up on Monday should put their trash out Tuesday.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a special holiday schedule Christmas and Monday.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be closed.
