Crippled by injuries at tailback all season, Notre Dame was stung again when sophomore Randy Kinder, the team’s leading rusher, was declared out of the Fiesta Bowl against Colorado because of an injured right knee.
Kinder, who started five games and led the Irish with 702 yards, was hurt in the final minutes of a 2 1/2-hour practice Monday.
