GARDENA : 2 Teen-Agers Arrested in Attacks on 2 Girls
Two 15-year-old boys were arrested by Gardena police Wednesday in attacks on two teen-age girls they allegedly had forced into a vacant house.
One boy was picked up by police at his home and the other called two television stations and was accompanied by their crews to police headquarters. Both were jailed on suspicion of rape, police said.
The boys forced the girls at gunpoint Tuesday into a house on Spinning Street, police said. A 16-year-old girl managed to escape and was not harmed, but a 14-year-old was raped, Officer William Moreno said.
The suspects were identified from the victims’ descriptions, police said.
