It doesn’t seem possible. Could all this have happened in one year? A President came home to be buried. So did a missing woman, whose grisly fate was finally uncovered. A mighty military base commenced its disappearance. So did a not-so-mighty football team. A wanted man’s now infamous white Ford Bronco was spotted on a freeway in Irvine headed toward the most publicized trial in history. If fire-ravaged Laguna Beach neighborhoods, houses began to rise. But the county treasurer’s house of cards collapsed, taking who knows how many people with it. Who will ever forget 1994?
