From Associated Press

Hakeem Olajuwon is injury free again, keeping the television cameras at bay and scoring like a man possessed.

Or a man in possession of one NBA championship ring and in search of another.

Olajuwon scored 33 points Thursday at Houston as the Rockets beat Dallas for the second time in 54 hours, 108-99. On Tuesday, Olajuwon had 41 points in a 110-98 victory in Dallas. He has averaged more than 35 points over the past five games.

Olajuwon has been hot since recovering fully from a Dec. 1 hand injury, suffered when he crashed into a television cameraman on the sideline. On Thursday, he made 15 of 24 shots from the field as Houston won its sixth in a row and regained first place in the Midwest Division after Utah’s 104-103 loss to San Antonio.

Milwaukee 111, Golden State 103--Todd Day had 27 points and Eric Murdock added 21 at Oakland for the Bucks, who handed Golden State its 18th loss in 21 games.

Day was eight of 12 against the inexperienced Dwayne Morton, who had played only 18 minutes before Thursday and who was getting his first NBA start because Latrell Sprewell, the Warriors’ leading scorer and an excellent defender, was suspended for one game for missing practice.

Miami 114, Minnesota 91--The Heat got 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists from Billy Owens, his first triple-double and only the fourth for the franchise, in a victory over the Timberwolves at Miami.

San Antonio 104, Utah 103--David Robinson scored 25 points and Sean Elliott added 20, including two free throws to seal the game with 4.6 seconds to play in the Spurs’ victory at San Antonio.

Sacramento 94, Detroit 88--Rookie Brian Grant had a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds at Sacramento, where the Kings used a 16-0 fourth-quarter run to send Detroit to its seventh loss in a row.
