COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Woolridge Scores 21, Leads SCC Past Pacific Christian

Chauncey Woolridge made seven of 10 shots from the field, scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds as Southern California College defeated Pacific Christian, 102-78, in a nonconference game Thursday night at SCC.

Kevin Carlson scored 15 points and had six rebounds for SCC (10-7), and Mike Guevera and Chris Kostoff had 13 points each.

Steve Siefken led Pacific Christian (11-9) with 16 points.

Concordia 88, Christian Heritage 84--Craig Martin scored a game-high 24 points and Jeff Putnam had 18 points and eight rebounds as Concordia (16-1) extended its school-record winning streak to 12 games.

In nonconference women's basketball:

Southern California College 100, Christian Heritage 45--Senior forward Heather Brannan, from La Quinta High, scored 18 points for the Vanguards (7-7). Brannan was six for seven from the floor and four for five from beyond the three-point line.

Heather Woodruff added 12 points and guards Amber Chaney and Tina Southard each scored 11. Also in double figures were Carrie Elsaesser and Sheri Treadwell with 10 each. Jennie Griffin had 19 points and 14 rebounds for Christian Heritage (0-10), which is playing its first season.

In nonconference women's swimming:

UC Irvine 124, San Jose State 88--The Anteaters took first in seven of 12 events, including the 200-yard medley relay, won by Tara Schoenwetter, Amerie Nordberg, Carrie Rowe, and Dana Holden.
