Four in a Row Move Stevens Up in Standings
Gary Stevens won four consecutive races Wednesday at Santa Anita and moved into second place in the jockey standings.
Stevens started his streak with Silent Lord in the fifth, then followed with 12-1 shot Enjoy The View in the sixth, Cordovan in the seventh and Wooden Ticket in the eighth. He had to settle for third on Chief’s Arrow in the ninth.
Corey Nakatani maintained his lead in the jockey standings with two winners. He has 20, compared to 18 for Stevens and 15 for Pat Valenzuela.
