Trinity Johnson, who compiled a 15-12 record for the Cal State Fullerton softball team last season, has transferred to South Carolina to be closer to her family.

“Her father is a pilot and he was transferred to Tennessee last year, so it became important to her to be closer to home,” Coach Judi Garman said Monday.

Johnson was the team’s No. 2 pitcher last season as a freshman behind Jennifer Mortensen, who returns for her senior year.
