SIMI VALLEY (23-4) vs. EISENHOWER (15-7)

At Eisenhower, 7:30 p.m.

Simi Valley, seeded fourth in Division I-AA, has won 13 of 14, including a 61-38 first-round victory over Glendale. Tawnee Cooper is averaging 21.0 points and 10.9 rebounds. Eisenhower, Citrus Belt League champion, beat Alhambra, 55-34, in the first round. Miesha Mattison is averaging 11.4 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Eagles, who have won seven in a row.

THOUSAND OAKS (19-8) vs. MATER DEI (21-1)

At Mater Dei, 7:30 p.m.

Melody Peterson has averaged 25.4 points and Ronnie Godringer is at 14.3 for South Coast League champion Mater Dei, ranked No. 4 in the state. Thousand Oaks, third in the Marmonte League, defeated Saugus, 69-33, in a Division I-A first-round game. Jenn Detmer scored 16 points against Saugus and is averaging 13.8 points and 8.1 rebounds.

ALEMANY (21-4) vs. LA SERNA (17-6)

At La Serna, 7:30 p.m.

La Serna, Del Rio League champion, beat Capistrano Valley, 52-49, in a Division II-AA first-round game. Chris Payne is averaging 12 points and five rebounds for the Lancers. Alemany routed Santa Barbara, 62-19, in its playoff opener. Carly Funicello scored 17 points and is averaging 15.2 points and 7.1 rebounds. Kathy Reith and Kelli Kobayashi have played key supporting roles for Alemany, the defending II-A champion.

CRESCENTA VALLEY (22-6) vs. RIO MESA (16-8)

At Rio Mesa, 7:30 p.m.

Carol Saldana’s two free throws gave Rio Mesa a 51-50 victory at Righetti in a Division II-AA first-round game. Brianna Kanongata’a is averaging 13.5 points for the Spartans, third in the Channel League. Crescenta Valley, second in the Pacific League, beat North Torrance, 74-53. Amirah Leonard leads the region’s Southern Section scorers at 21.1, while Michelle Greco has added 19 points and 10.9 rebounds.

PASO ROBLES (12-9) vs. NEWBURY PARK (24-1)

At Newbury Park, 7:30 p.m.

Newbury Park, which has won 19 consecutive games, is ranked No. 1 in III-A Division and in the state. Point guard Julie Wastell (11.5 points, 4.8 assists) sparks a balanced offense, which includes forward Jann Thorpe (13.6 points, 8.4 rebounds) and center Kara McKeown (10.4, 10). Shatoshia Noble averages 11 points and five rebounds for Paso Robles, third in the Los Padres League.
