Josh Henderson
SCHOOL: La Canada
SPORT: Soccer
YEAR: Senior
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Henderson has 39 goals 32 assists, establishing him as the area’s top offensive player. The Texas native has signed a letter of intent with Duke. His anticipation and understanding of the game impress eight-year La Canada Coach Lou Bilowitz. “He has the most remarkable vision of any young player I’ve ever been associated with,” said Bilowitz, whose team is 24-0 and faces Cathedral City in the Southern Section Division IV championship game Saturday. “Most good players are able to see a play ahead of what’s happening on the field. Josh sees three or four plays ahead.”
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Henderson scored five goals and had two assists in La Canada’s 7-1 second-round victory over Ganesha. He had two goals and three assists in a 7-0 quarterfinal victory over Colton two days later.
