Marcus Camby, who wasn’t even in the building when the first half was played, scored 12 points in the second half Friday at Philadelphia as No. 8 Massachusetts defeated Rutgers, 77-62, in the completion of a game suspended by a student protest 24 days ago.
The sophomore center was sidelined for three games earlier in the season with a strained hamstring.
In order for Camby to play, Massachusetts (23-4, 13-3 Atlantic 10) had to be assessed a technical foul because Camby wasn’t listed in the scorebook when the game started.
The Minutemen were willing to give up two points on the technical to Rutgers (12-14, 7-9).
Penn 85, Brown 55--Shawn Trice had 16 points and 16 rebounds at Philadelphia to lead the Quakers (20-5, 12-0) to their third consecutive Ivy League title and an NCAA tournament bid.
