Tim Hardaway scored 31 points, including a tie-breaking three-point basket with 1:06 left, and Latrell Sprewell added 26 to lead Golden State to a 106-103 victory over Seattle on Monday at Tacoma, Wash.

Because of injuries, interim coach Bob Lanier had only nine Warriors in uniform and Victor Alexander fouled out with 1:27 left. Hardaway’s sixth three-point basket of the game came from about five feet behind the three-point line and broke a 97-97 tie to help Golden State break a six-game losing streak.

Hardaway is facing the possibility of surgery on his right wrist that will sideline him for the season. He said he will go to the doctor on Wednesday to find out if his wrist is broken as he suspects.

Chicago 103, Portland 83--Guard B.J. Armstrong scored a season-high 27 points and reserve Steve Kerr added 13 as the Bulls used superior perimeter play to defeat the Trail Blazers at Chicago.

Kerr usually replaces Armstrong during games, but Coach Phil Jackson used them together for long stretches and was rewarded with Armstrong’s 11-of-18 shooting and Kerr’s four of seven. Kerr was three for five from three-point range, increasing his NBA-leading percentage to .512.

“I like being on the floor at the same time as Steve, because he creates space on the floor for me,” Armstrong said. “He’s such a great shooter that a defender has to honor his shot.”
