Three Mile Island Worker Irradiated in Water Leak

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. —
A worker at the Three Mile Island nuclear plant was slightly contaminated by radiation after a water line broke.
Plant officials classified Tuesday’s incident as an “unusual event,” the lowest emergency classification at commercial nuclear plants. The worker was decontaminated and not considered to have been in any danger.
