MOORPARK : Recreation Group Honors Parks Official
Christine Adams, Moorpark’s director of community services, has been awarded a citation for excellence by a statewide organization of recreation and parks officials.
She received the award March 4 at the California Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Conference in San Jose. The group singled her out from their more than 3,000 members, honoring her for her achievements directing recreational services and the parks in Moorpark.
“It’s a real honor to receive this kind of an award from all your peers,” she said.
Adams has worked in recreation for nearly 20 years, directing Moorpark’s department for the past three.
Adams was instrumental in completing Arroyo Vista Park, the city’s newest and largest park, and has been recognized locally for invigorating the city’s youth recreation programs.
