Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Man Slain in Argument Identified
The man shot to death Tuesday evening during an argument with his neighbor was identified Wednesday as Mark Ryan, 29, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
The shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. when a verbal dispute erupted between Ryan and his neighbor, Rudolph Randall Campos, 40, outdoors in the 1100 block of East Avenue J-6, Deputy Matthew Rodriguez said.
Campos accused Ryan of being romantically involved with Campos’ wife, the deputy said. He produced a handgun and fatally shot his neighbor, Rodriguez said.
After the shooting, Campos returned to his home to await the arrival of deputies, who arrested him without incident and recovered a handgun in the house.
Sheriff’s homicide investigators were continuing their review of the incident on Wednesday.
Campos remained in jail at the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station in lieu of $1-million bail.
