A 15-year-old Fullerton boy was shot Saturday during an argument between two groups of youths chasing each other in cars in a residential neighborhood, police said.

The boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was treated at Anaheim General Hospital for gunshot wounds to both lower legs, said Buena Park police Sgt. Lloyd Schwengel.

The shooting occurred about 1:10 p.m. on Miranda Street near Ball Road and Valley View Street, Schwengel said.

The victim was shot while riding in a 1991 black Honda station wagon with two friends and chasing and “exchanging verbal threats” with another carload of teen-agers on residential streets, Schwengel said.

The Honda had been reported stolen from Los Angeles County.
