A 21-year-old man was killed and two others wounded in two separate gang-related shootings this weekend, police said Sunday.

The fatal shooting occurred Saturday at 8:06 p.m., Sgt. Steve Rodig said. Officers answering a report of gunshots at a Stop N Go market in the 1500 block of South Euclid Avenue found the victim lying in the parking lot, Rodig said. The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a local hospital where he died of gunshot wounds to the chest.

He was not an employee of the grocery store, police said.

The other shooting occurred the same night at 11:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Devonshire Lane. Police investigating a report of numerous gunshots, found a large party in full swing.

As they arrived, shots were still being fired, Rodig said, and people were leaving the area.

Police found one of the victims in a back yard of a house, with gunshot wounds to the head. He was in stable condition Sunday. The second victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a leg wound. Both of the victims’ names were withheld.

Police have no motive for either of the shootings, but said that several weapons were involved in the second incident. None were recovered.
