CANOGA PARK — A Northridge man died after he was struck by a car on Topanga Canyon Boulevard early Saturday, police said.
James Richardson, 27, was crossing the road near Cantlay Street about midnight when a car driven by Suzanne Burger, 37, of Tarzana, struck and killed him.
Paramedics pronounced Richardson dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police that Richardson was headed to a bar across the street and crossed outside of the crosswalk, said Officer Norman Nagengast of the Los Angeles Police Department.
He was wearing dark clothing and was hard to notice, authorities said, adding that Burger was not cited in the accident.
